Painting Project

We moved into our home over 1 1/2 years ago and the walls were very neutral. I stared at them for a long time...thinking...pondering...wondering...what color should they be?

I didn't take any "before" shots because I forgot. The paint went on sale and I was soooo excited. I told Mike that I think one of my love languages is paint. Well, it is for the first day but by the third day I am not putting the words "love" and "paint" in the same sentence. Especially because I had two little helpers embarking on their first "paint their own room" experience. Suffice to say, it took a little longer and the clean-up was a bit more with the help. But we made it through without any scares for life. Only some paint in the grout.

These little bears are Lisa's are projects from 1st and 2nd grade. She loves art and has some of her projects hanging in her room, which we painted "Aqua Spray." It fits her personality with swimming and all. We had to go into major negotiations on the color for her room. It turned out really nice.

The soft pink room is Katie's. It looks very girly and delicate, nothing like Katie--and I mean that in the best way. She has her first soccer trophy on her shelf, she like to run barefoot in the dirt (eww, I can't stand for my feet to be dirty), she likes to climb trees and catch worms and crickets for the turtle. She loves her room.

Our room is harvest brown. I love how it turned out.

I really do like to paint.
Next up are the hallways. I think the living room, dining room and kitchen will have to wait another 1 1/2 years while I ponder on them for a while.
